Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle`s relationship in The Dark Knight Rises
I never thought that The Dark Knight Rises would end this way, meaning that Batman/Bruce Wayne fakes his own death and leaves Gotham with Selina. I mean this is the perfect ending in my opinion because this means that Bruce has learnt to let go of his sad past and has moved on with his life. Plus Alfred wished for him to start a normal life he told him so. He had that fantasy that when he would go holiday in Florence in that same cafe, he would see Bruce there with a wife and a couple of kids. So that moment in the cafe when Alfred and Bruce gave a nod of recognition to each other meant that Bruce had made it, and he was also with Selina so it seems like they are a couple now. I remember when in the film Selina said to him “Come with me, you don’t owe these people anymore” she looked really emotional and had a few tears in her eyes; Bruce took her up on that notion. Bruce obviously had forgiven her after she had betrayed his trust by trapping him and giving him to Bane. Because Bruce saw some good in her, he knew that she was not evil at heart; she did it because she was afraid that Bane would kill her. Prior to watching the film I never thought that Bruce’s and Selina`s relationship wouldn’t go further than just flirting with each other. I don’t know if I’m looking too into this, but that moment in the cafe probably means that they are a couple as I think they must have bonded while they were helping each other save the city. I don’t think they are just friends the chances are that they might be in a relationship at the end of the film. I think Bruce and Selina will settle down with each other in peace and away from the Gotham, I’m guessing that Alfred`s fantasy of Bruce with a wife and a couple of kids might come true. :-)
